Catchy melodies had people hooked, to top it off her cover of 'Blue Moon', accompanied by the legendary John Altman (Saxophone player, award winning composer) made it her own. Emel Michaels debut at the Dean Street Jazz Club has put her on the mark to becoming a successful, inspiring singer-song writer who is able to really make an impression with her musicianship, gaining recognition with artists like Omar, as well as Grammy award winning Patti Austin. Although Michael herself says she's a Soulful Pop/Folk artist, this gig clearly proves that she can transcend across genres with her musical abilities.

Omar the legendary soul star had joined her on stage for a duet performing ' Be thankful', which he had chosen to perform with the songstress.

Robin Banerjee, Guitarist  (Who had supported Amy Winehouse throughout her musical journey) featured on three great songs with Emel.
